Fatal accident investigation report: Dee Conservancy

On 29 August 2020, following a search for a person reported as missing on 28 August 2020, a body was found in the Dee Estuary. A report has been produced by the Harbour Master, on behalf of the Statutory Harbour Authority for the Dee Conservancy, to identify if lessons can be learnt which improve safety of navigation.

Natural Resources Wales, as Statutory Harbour Authority for the Dee Conservancy, is subject to the requirements of the Port Marine Safety Code. The Code strongly recommends that harbour authorities investigate incidents within their jurisdiction.
